You either already know Koops Bike Shop or you need to go see it. Walking into the shop is like walking into a colourful jungle. Bicycles hang from the ceiling, every kind and colour you could think of.
Koops Bike Shop has been a fixture of Prince George for generations
Koops is proudly the family bicycle shop in Prince George. We carry every style of bicycle you could imagine from a huge selection of kid’s bikes, BMX bikes from all the coolest brands, road, mountain and hybrid bikes and of course unique styles such as fat Bikes, E-Bikes, unicycles, to adult & industrial tricycles.
We have always offered a trade-up program
Our trade-up program allows you to trade in your children’s bikes as they outgrow them. We’ll then refurbish them and we resell them.
We are often referred to as the BMX headquarters for BC.
BMX has been a passion for Koops ever since their introduction in the late 1970s and it has a very large footprint in their store.

We service most makes and models of bikes regardless of where you purchased it. Our year-round full-service shop has two long term, full time mechanics who can help you regardless if you need a quick fix, such as a flat repair, or a complete tune-up.
From custom wheel building, bearing repacks, hydraulic brake bleeding to rebuilding your ’70s era banana seat bike, we can help you out.
We also boast the largest selection of parts and accessories in Northern B.C., which is great for DIY.
In the winter, skates are upfront and center in the shop
Koops carries a wide assortment of recreational and figure skates for those just starting out or those dreaming of the Games. The line of recreation skates by Softec is great for the weekend skater who wants a comfortable skate.
Our experts will advise you on which skates are best suited to your needs, including big brands like Jackson, Risport and Softec. Don’t stop at the skates—we can fully outfit your figure skaters with apparel and accessories by Jerry’s Skating World, Mondor Fashions and Elite Xpressions.
We also offer professional fitting, skate sharpening and repairs.
